Polad Techno is not just a company, but a legacy rooted in a rich history of innovation and service.
Our story begins with the Sabunchu Scientific Manufacturing and Machine Building (SEIM) plant located in the Republic of Azerbaijan and a part of our journey since the end of the 19th century. Let's take a closer look at our remarkable history and the benefits of choosing us as your partner today.
In 1890, the Nobel brothers laid the foundation for a tradition that would last for generations in the area of the Balakhani mines. Their foresight led to the establishment of a repair shop in 1912, but the demands of the rapidly growing oil industry proved to be greater than the facilities of this plant. As a result, a new workshop was built in 1914, which laid the foundation for the development of SEIM.
In the 1920s, the importance of specialized enterprises in the oil industry was understood, and therefore reconstruction and technological modernization were carried out at SEIM in 1932-1934. It was during this period that the Mechanical Repair Plant was named after Budyonny. By that time, the workforce of the plant had reached 623 people.
As it played a crucial role in supporting the war effort from 1941 to 1945, the interruptions caused by World War II temporarily halted the plant's development. After the war, SEIM refocused its efforts, specializing in the production of equipment necessary for the oil industry. This was the catalyst for a new era in the plant's history.
Today, SEIM has a sprawling area of 7.21 hectares, featuring modern production space including 22,508 m2 of covered buildings and 13,959 m2 of production workshops. The plant operates with modern machinery and up to 640 skilled workers.
